Ice hockey

A travel blog entry by kimon.comodikes

we stoped in Pula to say hello to Marco (old business partner of Dide) and it turned out that there was an international hockey tournament taking place in the collesiem (almost 2000 years old) between Croatia and Russia - what a treat.
Finally, made our way down to Metcovic, just in time for one day of sun on the beach, before the rain - …

My first three in one.

A travel blog entry by sarahimray

Am I in Croatia or a Stanley Kubrick movie? It is hard to tell at the Hotel Riviera. It was probably a grand place to reside in the Soviet era. Now it has all the sadness of wars and oppression that the rest of the town seems to have shrugged off. We spend the whole day between trains and buses and my ass is on the point of throwing the towel but hey babe, be brave! we're almost there!

This town has a lot of roman ruins, a huge coluseum and lots of cobbled streets. I had pasta with truffles for …

So, after a leisurely breakfast, we consulted our various travel websites (Lonely Planet, Google, Trip Advisor etc) to determine which sights were worth investigating. It turns out there are a number ...

Not a great place to stay unless Winter. Very old hotel with no fans or aircon. Like an episode of the Shining.
