Hung over again

... ill but it was cheap and filled us up.

We went to a place called Montys bar where they had a live act on we thought it was going to be really cheesy but it turned out to be ok. Steve the man who was playing was really good and played lots of old classics man rock songs so Ian liked it and I enjoyed it to. We then stagered back to our room around midnight a little drunk again. Looks like we are fitting right in with this holiday.

Too Funny

... drive along the coast through Marbella and we even saw the rock of Gibralter as well. As we where travelling though you could not help but notice the strips of english bars and restaurants and we laughed about what we have got coming up.

We got the the centre of Torrimolinos and got a taxi to our hotel. Its ok the hotel is clean and we have a large kitchen and balcony not overlooking the pool but its ok ...

Sunrise over the Med

... our ship, the navigator of the seas (royal caribbean) is repositioning to the caribbean for the winter. pricing on these types of cruises is very affordable and the type of people that cruise on the transatlantic sailings tend to be laid back, not the type who needs to be in a different port every day especially since we will have 6 sea days in a row as we cross the atlantic. i will have internet access on the ship so hopefully i'll be able to post daily.

Caves of Nerja

Today we had an excursion to the Caves of Nerja about an hour away on the bus. The little town on the water was cute and reminded me so much of Dubrovnik. We have free time to visit the little church and have an ice cream. Then we were off to the nearby caves which were fascinating but didn't learn much because the guide was doing double time with the tour speaking both French and English and he spoke mostly French even when he was speaking English it seemed.

Morocco deserves more than a day!

... the Moroccan midget down to a quarter of his asking price. We probably still got ripped off, but hey, we got to bargain with an actual Moroccan. After a couple more stops in the twisting streets of the Medina, and trying to avoid the gaze of guys selling everything from cheap bracelets to cheap drums to cheap wodden camels, it was back on the bus to see the real thing. We were told we would get a chance to ride the camels, but because of the rain we had to look at them from afar ...

Malaga City Tour

... for lunch is an area called Chininitos where there are lots of chairs and tables set outside for a great seafood.
Teatro Romano is another nice place to visit, heading up to the Mount Gilfrano from there allows to see the whole city underneath. Amazing view of the Torre where the bullfighting occurs.
Once seeing the precaussions was over at night, we head out to Cordoba for our last day of visit in the Southern Spain.

Adelante

... famous for the Alhambra Palace - the greatest muslim legacy left in Spain. From the 13th to 15th centuries Granada was the capital of the last muslim kingdom in Spain. The Alhambra consists of a massive fortress and surrounding walls, Palace and beautiful gardens... all decorated in a unique islamic style. It is a huge complex and it took me the best part of 4 hours to explore. Finally I have to mention the food in Spain. I have to say they have a wicked selection of aceituna (olives ...

... was 20 times scarier than the 4 hour train ride. I guess lanes and signal lights mean absolutely nothing here. It seems that if in doubt of signaling, keep it on at all times. I guess the bonus of the trip was that it didn't seem like our cabbie stiffed us out of any money. It was around the proper price. The place we are staying is called Benalmadena-costa and as the name applies we are situated right along the coast. It's strange, while Madrid and ...
