We need to change trains again at Ventrimiglia, which is next to the border with France. This time we do need to change platforms. We need to use stairs, as again there are no lifts. My shoulders are still not happy, and my knees and back are starting to lose their senses of humour as well. I suggest to Issy that we sell half our luggage. I don't think she likes my suggestion.

From the ridiculous to the sublime. We start the day at Nice's Monday flea market held in the Cours Saleya in the historic city. There's not much there that we haven' seen before (except that it's French), but the dealers in our group manage to find 'bargains' that they can resell. OH MY GOD!!!!! Monaco is absolutely gorgeous!! This place is literally breath taking. The building are beautiful, the water is beautiful, and the people are beautiful. Everyone here drives a fancy car (at least in the states we would consider these really fancy). We saw a taxi and it was a Benz. Chris told us that we needed to make sure that we didn't drop any trash because it's a 1000 euro fine if you litter, I don't even want to know what that is ...
