... We also met our next tour guide, Sylvia and our new driver. I was showing off a little after a glass of wine, by saying in Italian, " Eo voray imparare Italia lingua" . Eze was so beautiful and wonderful! We had an hour to kill before the restaurants opened for dinner, so we explored the village. ... discovered that besides the super yachts, fashion and beautiful people St Tropez is famous for, it also is infamous for its lengthy traffic delays. With 1 road in and out of the peninsula village, traffic jams are known to take 4 hours to navigate. Plus we read, car parking could cost 40€. With this in mind, we decided to park at Sainte Maxime and catch the shuttle ferry across the bay. This worked out well - boats depart every 15 ...

Thursday May 9 - Day 16

What a day.

Travelling is an adventure and I share this story to tell you about one we just had.

Up at 6am. Vaporetto to Venice train station. Train to Mestre (mainland across water from Venice).

Board train for Milan. All going well to this point. Train to Milan 2 hours then change for train to Ventimiglia. The trouble begins.

Train to Milan meant to arrive at 10.55am and connecting train ...
