... t really exist but that was mentioned in the Bible. Could we find it and guess what it was? I found it and guessed correctly: the Tower of Babel. I win!

There were two outer buildings at the House of Hindlyan: one that was used for storage of his gold (and which had a painting of the main house over the door, in case the house was ever burned down) and the other housed the kitchen and the servants. The servants' house was quite pretty.

... Not that it's seedy, mind, it's just clear that it used to be a glamorous hotel and now isn't. My room is very big and has a delightful view of the parking lot, where there were some military police milling about when we first arrived.

... petals are picked in the morning, from 4 am until about 10 am; apparently petal picked in the afternoon lose up to 50% of their oil content.

Mum and I both bought ourselves a bottle of rose liqueur from the tiny shop attached to the museum. Then we crossed the road and walked into a rose field. The roses were not very close together (the majority must have been picked already) but there were still a decent amount there and we both enjoyed looking round.
