Meanwhile, others were shown where to dig their latrine hole and how to burn your loo paper: Mala, as you can imagine, has rated this part of the trip as her most favourite, particularly as this is 'training' ...

... fühlte mich, als ob ich gerade die letzte Lektüre zur Berufung als Captain Morgan gelesen hatte. - Am nächsten Morgen stand Abenteuer pur auf dem Tagesprogramm. Mit einer 4-plätzigen Chesna starten wir in Richtung Cainama Park. Der Pilot übergab nach 30 Minuten das Steuer und bat uns an, selber zu fliegen. Ein weiterer Punkt auf meiner Liste "29 things I have to do before I get 30" war erfüllt und so flog ich eine Chesna über die Savanne von Venezuela. Bei der Landung war ich ...

After all the fun and excitement of the week in Caripe we had a week of chilling out and taking it easy back in PC again. It was nice to be out of the tents but we now had a week sleeping in hammocks! Its an unusual experience sleeping in a hammock and I to be honest, I prefer a bed. But still it was good to try it and we have to be used to it for the Orinoco Delta kayak trip!

We decided to go off and see somewhere different ...
