... been there previous nights so knew what was awaiting. I met one girl at the hostel from Australia, if it wasn't for her that night would have been spent crying on the phone to my mum, we decided we would go for a walk and get ice cream while everyone else went out to party. Since when was I 40?! But with the help of my mum, I knew that hostel was not for me... Or anyone who didn't want to die due to a bunkbed collapsing, and so booked another ...
... Can even see Comerica park where I will go the next two days to watch ice hockey. There are actually people there skating now at 2 am, can see them from my deluxe room on the 30th floor of Greektown Casino Hotel. Now I need some sleep after showering and unpacked my bag. Need to go and get the tickets tomorrow and also check out, couldn't get all nights here. And I must check the time the pick will be dropped as well, reckon it was 6 pm. Good ...
I woke up at 8:10 and sat in bed and blogged about our first day. Erin woke up about 8:30 thinking I couldn't sleep and that was why I was up. She then got up when she realized what time it was. We got dressed and went downstairs to the Grab-n-Go to get some breakfast. We got croissant sandwiches and corn muffins (for later). After an amazing sleep on a mattress and the A/C, woke up feeling slightly groggy, but nothing that the freshest orange juice I have ever tasted could not fix! The second hang over cure was walking down to South Beach for a swim in the ocean! We all just floated there with the biggest grins on our faces thinking about all the times we had tried to get in the sea at Newquay ...
I'm currently sitting on a delta flight to LAX, which means the east coast leg of our trip is done and dusted. We crammed more into the last few days than I managed to cram into my backpack, which says a lot, so here goes....
