This has been a wild day, 274 miles due to a GPS recalculation. The ride was uneventful to New Orleans. I left Bayou La Batre around 8 am. ... It was a very grand residence with 365windows and doors and 11 foot high doors. There was a group in costume dancing in the ballroom which was lovely. Some interesting plaster work which was made from clay, mud, horse hair and Spanish moss. Also lots of antique furniture. While there, we grabbed a cup of Community Coffee and some brochures. Community Coffee is apparently a staple in these parts according to the chatter at the coffee dispenser. It is the "go to" coffee for those who know coffee.
