John: After Rotorua we headed south to Lake Taupo and to conquer the Tongariro Crossing, the so-called "best day hike in NZ". 30-Jan: Still recuperating from the leg cramps caused by the long walk to Aratia Dam & back. Not too bad though (it's those aches that you feel when you've not exercised for a long time).
