... of transport, because they gave us straw sandals and let us walk up the waterfalls and along the creek for a portion of the hike. There was a regular hike, then there were offerings of zip-lining and a roller-coaster looking car ride down. All of these things cost money of course. We did the waterfalls walk and let the boys zip-line. There were fish to feed there and we found a friendly praying mantis as well.

... Guilin's hills it is filled with caves. The main cave is filled with carvings and inscriptions. The most veautiful are around the main entrance. There are many Buddhist carvings as well as inscriptions and poems. My Mother asked me what they said, but sadly I cannot read or understand them. <br><br> When we got to Buckland they took us to our room in the hotel. The room was rather nice except no western toilet! i almost died when i saw that. Other then that everything was alright. We went to lunch at the school where pretty much every dish had meat. I took a couple bites of some greens and left. Back at the hotel where all the teachers stay, we met some other americans that had arrived a couple days before. They showed us where to rent bikes for only 5 ...

K sreci so njihovi simboli tako prepoznavni, da tudi vsi napisi v kitajscini ne predstavljajo tezave, ce bi si clovek zazelel taksen obrok. Vecji problem je izbira obroka, saj vecina sendvicev in menijev nima povsem nic skupnega s tistimi, ki jih poznamo od doma. I had been expecting to visit Guilin area, finally this dream came to reality, thanks to Trip China, the association who have designed a perfect circuit, to the weather with a lot of sunshine although a bit hot, and to the 26 members among which 6 children, who brought so many laughters over the whole journey. ... need in CA. I visited (see my third entry) almost 20 years ago and it's become a big tourist destination for foreigners and Chinese alike. The Moon Rock that I biked for a least three hours looking for those 20 years ago now had a gigantic sign in front of it... hmmm. A little touristy but still charming and out of the hustle of the "big" cities. More to come later...
