Our last stop has been Gatlinburg, TN. We enjoyed our visit to the Dixie Stampede and Dollywood. Jim looked all over the place, high and low but never saw Dolly! We ran into the Compton's from Lexington who happened to be here too. We enjoyed having dinner together with Ben, Suzanne, Charlie and Nancy. It was nice to have friends to enjoy a meal with again.

It will be wonderful to be back in South Carolina even though there will be lots of changes from ...

... the 25th year of the German reunification (1989). They were expecting thousands of people in Frankfurt and we actually ( on Saturday night) watched the major event on the TV. Dinner was at a very small local eatery where we had pork and potatoes ( of course) and wine. We sat at long wooden table with benches..family style. A neighborhood German place full of locals and fun to experience. We returned "home" and settled down for the night.

... and things bigger than Ben Hur. And what do we notice, but there are hordes of people on the side of the road with deck chairs set up lining the streets. In parking lot after parking It are hordes upon hordes of classic cars. OK we get it, there must be a classic car show of sorts in town and given everyone is sitting in their chairs on each side of their main , there must be a parade. Nope! As we subsequently find, out, they are ...

... than I did reading about all the other fabulous places in Spain we would actually visit. Monsignor Al was along on the trip and had hiked the "Way of St James" and shared some great stories of his time on the trail. Now I was even more interested. Then we visited O'Cebreiro during a torrential downpour. I remember during mass in this quaint little church thinking~ I AM coming back here AND I'm hiking the Camino! We also visited the Cathedral ...

          ... semi
          famous.

We also had Krystal for lunch. This is
a place that does quite small burgers so you buy them by the dozen.
We decided to get 2 dozen between us knowing Josh can eat 3-5 of a
normal size burger if he is allowed. We got nothing else since you
can get fries anywhere and we had water in the RV. Verdict: Never
again! Eeeewwww. We were all hungry enough to have a couple, then
some of us just couldn't eat ...
