    Today was the long-awaited rafting trip - the first for three of us. We chose White Otter Outdoor Adventures out of Sunbeam, and they were fantastic. John and Carol caravaned with us to Stanley, and along the way we stopped at a scenic overlook and got a gorgeous view of the Sawtooth Valley.     ... hour and a half and literally, along the way, we followed water along the highway the entire way.

    Feeling like I need to stop for photos, I was able to monkey around and take some artsy shots of the moving water. The photos are long exposures that make the rapids look like a fog on top of the water, but it is just the rapids being blurred from the long ...

    ... were forgotten. Beautiful windy roads, cool mountain breezes and the lovely river beside me.

    I stayed at Cold Springs Campground (I was alone), next to the river. It has a shower! Well, more like access to a small pool where I went skinny dipping, cooled down and washed off the days road grime.

    ... finally settled into nourishing soak with mountainous landscape views to get lost in. I do believe I found my happy place!

    The time finally came for us to come to terms with the fact that we must depart from lovely Idaho - although, our pace was pokey and there was talk of us returning to the One Way Club for 4th of July festivities...looks like I may need to change the title of this blog from "Cross Country Travels" to "My Idaho Summer Vacation" :)
