    I happen to have hit the leaf time perfectly... and tomorrow it promises to rain. Which would mean most of the leaves will be washing away.

    ... he has boundless energy, he probably could have done that all day and been happy as a clam. After that we headed north again....we said no stops, we are tired and we need to keep it moving!!! Until we saw the elk....there were elk grazing right on the side of the road....ecerywhere so of course we pulled over got out and took 100+ pics.....the someone told us there were tons off the next exit, so we daid YES more elk, let's do this!     ... you can tell the road has already took affect on me...I went a bit deep there. Anyway, we went through a security check point and almost had to surrender all our produce we managed to stuff into our pockets at the continental breakfast. Luckily the California Park Ranger had bigger fish to fry so they let us keep our snacks :) Soon after the checkpoint we went through a tunnel.
