First we went to Marie Selby Botanical Garden. Enjoyed the walk through the gardens, as well as the tour through the Payne home. We then went to the Mote Aquarium, enjoyed that as well. Went to tavern on Main in historic Sarasota for a beer. Stopped for dinner at Evies Tavern off of University ...

Leaving Grayton Beach we were ready to be home, so we

... to Doc in Bradenton showed further movement in the shoulder, so I'm scheduled for surgery next Wednesday, We probably will stay put until the Doc releases me from care, then we could start a shortened Louisiana trip (Bayou Country) before heading north to kids & grands in MA.

Many thanks to our friends on Florida's west coast, who will keep Mike company while I'm otherwise occupied. Mo

... s pier. Had a nice walk there and saw plenty of pelicans. No dolphins though. This is one of the most intimidating bridges in Florida as far as I'm concerned. It's very high and very long (4 miles)! Definitely not one of my favorites (especially since I don't like bridges to begin with). You can see Tampa and the Tropicana Field Stadium across the bay from the Fishing ...
