... right on Lake Michigan, the shoreline hasn't been built up leaving lots of scenic green space. Downtown is full of old architecture and includes a riverwalk. There are some decent looking bars and pubs as it is a college town. With half the buildings and the lake buried in a cloud right now though, the life has been choked out of the city. ... family wedding. The ceremony was held in an outdoor setting on the shore of Lake Michigan. It had rained the night before but the day turned out to be spectacular, albeit a little chilly. Afterwards we attended a lively fun-filled reception at the Radisson Hotel, where we had a delicious dinner followed by several toasts and dancing.

... the sandy bottom for most of the race. It was also very shallow even 25 yards off shore. We had a great swim day with little wave action. I also decided to take off my wetsuit in the water which also affected my swim time. I have never used the wetsuit strippers. Yum Yum...went back to Kelvin's uncles and then out for food and drinks in the evening, lots of fun, but got back late and was exhausted.
