... bird mass I have ever witnessed.
You need a dose of Irish luck to even make it to the islands. Trips run at most 100 days of the year. The boat ride out on a calm day is enough to make the average traveller seasick. I can’t even imagine the size of the waves and swells on the 265 days of the year that it isn’t safe to venture out to the islands.
Boats generally leave ...
... it - bless those Irish drinkers!
Lunch was in Dingle, a small fishing village. It's best known for it's resident dolphin - Fungie who hangs out with the boats all day. The village offers sightseeing trips and are so sure you will see him you get your money back if you don't!
Back into the bus and past the Lakes of Killarney and into Killarney proper. Before our bags were down we were on the horse and carriage which ...

Back onto the (new) bus - we picked up some new travellers today, some canadians, an indian and some hawiaan americans. Not too sure what they thought of us all at the start, but i'm pretty sure everyone has bonded now (karaoke is about to start in the pub next door, so everyone is well full!).
We then crossed the river Shannon from county clara into county kerry - which is just spectacular green rolling hills, along the ...
... to see how we react to situations. and if any of you know how many bathroom breaks Nic and I take on roadtrips, you'll know when I say that I have seen more bathrooms in this country than Irish pubs. And they are all grosssss gas station bathrooms...giving us all great thigh workouts!! And it is sooooo hard to find a good cup of coffee here. Honestly, its all instant coffee and super strong. There isnt Time Hortons or Starbucks on every corner.

Up on Lady's view we had a perfect view back along the way we came.. we had lunch at Waterville, what would be a very lovely sea side village in the summer! lol. The day was quite mild but the water was freezing!!
Back around the other side reminded me of Scotland with the wild mountains and mist!!

We've started from learning Spanish and gaining information about places we're interested in.

... farm into a ruin with overgrown fields. It is in a prime location overlooking the bay and would be a lovely spot for a B&B.
We had another (expensive, but tasty) meal at the ferry restaurant – Angela very kindly shouted us all with a 100 euro note that she had been saving for a special occasion. She entertained the ladies with tales about the magnetic effects of her latest online acquisition too.
I had a leisurely long lie and then decided I should really find out where Kerry Fiddles was. I knew it was about 3km outside Kenmare somewhere. This is all I knew. After asking at the music shop in town and ending up at Kerry Violin Shop I decided to log onto the internet via my mobile (I don't want to think about what that must've cost) and found an email from Chris. Kenmare, Ireland hils... day her and her boyfriend went on a ride call the "Ghost Train", which was a haunted house(like you didn't get that from the name)It went like this: No people jumped out at them nor did any ghostly light flash at them as they whipped around a corner, all it was: ghosts PAINTED on the walls as they carted along. Too funny. I want to go. Krista you have to be on this with me! I'll wait for your visit. December 2nd: just sending this now, thought I sent.
Killarney, Ireland cowtowncolleenDay 2 We have appointments scheduled starting at 7:30am, but there is no rushing the Irish during breakfast, and Mary brought out the whole family to meet us. Town: Cashel Attraction/rating: The Rock of Cashel/5 (if the wind is not howling) The Rock of Cashel is on "high ground" The wind can be brutal, but the views and the "Rock" is worth it. Due to the size of this attraction, I "borrowed" the following from ...
