I set my alarm for 7:45 this morning but we had crossed another time zone and my iPad hadn't updated itself so I was nearly late. Luckily I was kind of awake at 8:15 when Nicole called in to see if I'd survived the downpour so I got up. Today was a great day. Breakfast at the Best Western was perfect, oatmeal, coffee and OJ, all for $2.50. Rt 522 from the hotel to Port Royal was a great 4 lane country road and didn't feel like a highway. Entered Sky Line Drive on the North side. Sky Line Drive/Shenandoah National Park was majestic. County… my trivia du jour. Anyway I had to stay here another day to find
that out. Actually- it's Memorial Day
weekend… this and Labor Day weekend pretty much assure campgrounds are full
with longstanding reservations. The
