The Adventure Begins!

... br>All being well we'll have managed to cram our worldly possessions into a combined 155 litres of rucksack without too many arguments over whether Clarins Face Products are classed as "essential" and also with a bit of luck our baggage will have made it's way onto the same aeroplane as us : ) and we'll be winging our way to London, next stop Bangkok!

A&Px
However, I decided since I am one of their first reps I was going to make the most of it and be helpful by suggesting a few things for introductory week. This ...

Back home and it's all over (for this year...)

... control, security checks, a 'secure' bus ride from Terminal 3 to Terminal 1, more security checks... until we were spat out where BMI had left us waiting for our Air NZ flights a month ago. We swapped our Virgin-issued boarding cards for BMI-issued ones at the transfer desk and it wasn't long before we were down at gate 8, which seems to consist of multiple actual gates leading to various BMI aircraft. About 30 mins from flying ...

Burscough to Liverpool

... and see the two cathedrals. We walked a lot. We had a Chinese buffet, and got a bus back. We had noticed work being done on the Stanley locks the day before, with the area roped off, so we wondered why we had not been contacted if there was a delay. We phoned the office and left a message to be called back. We had a look at the locks ...

Liverpool "Home of the Beatles" :)

... or "city centre" as the locals call it here to Matthew Street "home of the Beatles"!!! It was really neat to see. It's basically a shrine of the Beatles and if you're into the band you get an eerie feeling about the area thinking that the band members have walked on the same cobble stone street that you're standing on that very moment (wink wink Grandma Susie ...

I started making my way towards (what I thought was, and told by a train station employee) the right way to Dara's place. OMG, A HUGE HILL. Just hoped I would not be dealing with hills throughout England. That would not be fun for me. But... what should have been a 2 mile trip, I of course turned into much longer ...
