... few bumps, and it's true that we see far away...

After that we visited other sites, I'll let you watch the pictures for more details. Each site had its points of interest, but we didn't really have time to do anything but scratch the surface at each stop. But being outside in this lush green countryside, I finally had the feeling of being on holidays, and I relaxed while breathing in the fresh air of Ireland in the beginning of summer. :)

... it older than Stonehenge and the Egyptian pyramids!!! The sites are called Newgrange, Knowth and Dowth. We went to Knowth (the largest) and Newgrange. There is some controversy about what they were used for, but the builders were amazing and definitely knew their stuff. ... We did however have one of the most absolute highlights of our trip to date - climbing the Pennines on a most glorious sunny day, with nary another soul in sight! ... from a landowner, Ward, who had been evicted from his land during the invasion of Oliver Cromwell in 1649. The land was given to a Roundhead soldier. The Ward family, whose forebears were landowners of the hill and of whom the hill was named after, are living in County Meath today.
