... It certainly saved time as we were on the outskirts of town and on the M1 going north with minimal traffic. We had a late lunch in a large service station off the M1 then drove north for about 60kms at the 120KMH speed limit. Once of the M1 we started to see snow on the side of the road and in paddocks that were in shadow. ... This is a significant place for me -- it's where U2 recorded The Unforgettable Fire, one of my favourite albums. We wizzed past Slane Castle and straight through the town without a stop; hopefully I'll get to come back here at a later time and see it a bit better.
