      We loved our hotel, Renuka Inn. It is a bit outside of the city (about a 20 minute walk to downtown). But, the downtown area is quite polluted. Apparently, Sri Lanka doesn't enforce vehicle emissions regulations. The buses emit an unbelievable amount of pollution, as do the tuk-tuks and motorbikes.       ... looked sad. Then drove down the road to watch about 40 epehants walking down the road to the river this is am must see! Then the spice gardens a man showed us around and i ended up covered in lots of oil being massaged and full of herbel tea. Then they take you to a shop which was over priced so we ddnt buy anything! After this we enjoyed ceyclon tea at the tea factory and bought some for the rest of our journey. This was a great day out!!!

      ... for the many women who were trapped here by the king. We finished up at Sigiriya around noon and our flight out of Sri Lanka wasn't until 1:10am. We decided to spend the last of our time here at the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. This orphanage rescues injured and abandoned elephants in the wild. While it is more of a tourist attraction than the wild life park, the elephants were still well cared for and I felt ok giving money to an organization that helps the helpless. We saw ...
