Finally we cross the state line and enter California. We stop off to visit Lake Tahoe. Its ever so nice. Pristine emerald and blue water surrounded by pine trees. What a beautiful place.
These mountain roads are something else, with scenery that is just breathtaking. We dont get into Redding till after 7pm, and find this really nice RV park off the highway and out of town. Doesnt take long to set up the tent, while Gerry is already set up with her camper van.
Not our usual Monday morning!...Sam trying to eject Lois from her bed and rush to the bus stop! Our morning started with a nice breakfast and then heading off towards the coast. Tomorrow we are off to Eugene, Oregon. It is about a 5 hour drive north from Redding. We will spend a couple of days there before we head to the coast and make a 3 day stop in Bandon, Oregon.

Friday 19th July 2014 To Red Bluff, Cruising Hwy 99 An early & bright start ( not so bright for some of the group) we drove to the outskirts of Yuba City to visit OMC ( Orchard Management Company) where we inspected their manufacturing plant of all things orchard harvesting. The sight of some more Big Toys and a few bottles of water brightened our blokes up no end. The OMC blokes drive these Ford 350 King utes that have a towing capacity of 8 tons and are bigger than ...
