... I will be in Auckland early March for my tests which I did not get done last year. I am going to be staying with Jacki and will have a car so that will make it easy. Hope you are on the flight Trudes as that would make it fun. Here’s the details to check against your roster.

I think that’s about all the news for now.

Here’s hoping that this will be our year and yours as well. Happy New Year to you all. Hope to see you all soon.

At present 400 people work there, but the coal prices are dropping and so is the demand. Cuts in manpower are anticipated. ... area, also making a point to stop at the odd lookout for the views. The first picnic stop we came to, thankfully we didn't get straight out of Eggy; within about 30 seconds the car was surrounded by a small swarm of wasps! They clearly didn't want us to eat our lunch there! We stopped about 10 minutes up the road, and had a nice lunch looking out over a valley. After lunch, we made our way to the beach camp in Punakaiki where we ...

... on the way to Westport we stopped at a couple of lookouts and then a group of us walked along the coast. We were dropped at Cape Foulwind Walkway and made our way to Tauranga Bay. We were really lucky with the weather as it had been raining earlier on but was sunny during the walk. It was only 3km or so along the coast and we got to see some more New Zealand fur seals. We stayed in Westport that night and with an action packed week or so ahead it was nice to have a quieter ...
