... spectacular and just ridiculously nice, with numerous little stop offs to take pictures from lookouts. The guys also pointed out little tracks along the way, so we stopped at one just outside the village of Punakaiki which sometimes was home to penguins rushing ashore to feed their young. ... not to work. It was hilarious to see Maureen wrapped up like we were in the North Pole in so many layers and hats and scarfs and then have a wooly blanket on top of here as well. We both had hot showers to warm us up and it helped....well until we had to get out and walk to our room. Our room came with a T.V so we watched a little before heading to bed.
