... what we were supposed to be seeing, just to pretend we had the same view in front of us, and then we continued on towards Arthur's Pass. Since Arthur's Pass was once lauded to be the "center of the universe" by Dalai Lama, needless to say I was pretty eager to see it. However, New Zealand is incredibly green for a reason, and the reason is because it rains all the time even when you decide to visit the country in the middle of their winter...weird. So ...

We woke up to a very fresh but clear morning, so we get up and warm very quickly before doing the 2 hour round Arthur's Pass walk.
