... a pick-up truck converted into a shared taxi by putting two bench seats along the box. They aren't the most comfortable way of travelling around but pretty much the only option. We shared the ride with a girl from from Belgium, Naomi, and ended up touring most of the ruins together. Once we got to the historical park we rented bicycles for 30B ($1.15 CAD) each as the ruins are quite spread out. Beard report, i havent shaved since coming out here and have decided to continue with the typical traveller scruff. Its looking good so far apart from my increasingly ginger chin - anyway i have decided to continue with it, will keep you updated haha.

... The buses which take you to the Old Town are like jumbo versions of songtaews but wooden and very old and beaten up - also as I would discover a hell of a lot slower. The trip was cheap in these buses (only 30B) but would take almost an hour to get down to Old Town as they were picking up and dropping people off the way down as it was still a local taxi bus service. Day three - It's 2015!

It wasn't an early wake up call, in fact it was probably one of our longer lay ins!

We didn't venture far, the town had a sleepier feel to it today, or maybe that was just us projecting our sleepiness onto it! So we took the opportunity to do a bit of reading up on the places and journey that lay ahead of us, sorting out a few travel arrangements.
