I love Singapore Zoo - love the way they take good care of the animals and how they bring them closer to people, especially the children. I was able to meet Ms. Isabel Cheng, the Zoological Garden's Marketing Manager last February here in Manila during a conference and I am amazed on their marketing strategiesand how they do their advocacy works in advancing animal rights. Way to go Zoo team!

... Last time we’d been at Changi airport, on the way out, we had been transit passengers, not leaving the airport, so hadn’t experienced their immigration staff. The queues were long and there were hold-ups with some people being taken from the desk back to the end of different queues. When our turn came though, we were allowed through no problem. We were relieved to find ...
Singapore, Singapore hughieanddoris... otherwise gotten to see, but we generally stay away from zoos, so we weren't super stoked on it. The GIANT fruit bats and flying squirrels were a highlight. And the bear cat.

Singapore has set the bar pretty high for Asia, cleanliness wise (it's spotless), public transportation wise, and food wise, but I am sure we will not be disappointed with the next places we go. It has been a great introduction to this continent, and I am so excited for where we'll go from here!
Singapore, Singapore maam... the MRT station. The MRT would then take 30 minutes to get to our hostel. From the MRT station by the hostel it would take 30 minutes to get to the airport, and the connecting bus from the MRT stop at the airport takes a further 10 minutes to get to the Budget Flights terminal. The journey would take precisely 1 hour 40 minutes discounting wait time and other stops...

The bus ride was going well, we were making good time as the driver seemed ...
Singapore, Singapore gutti... br>
- Visit Sri Mariamman Temple, Singapore's oldest Hindu temple located in Chinatown. Look at the beautiful decorated interiors, brightly painted Hindu deities and admired the architecture.

- Head down to Singapore's Southern Ridges for a 9 kilometre walk through hills of Mount Faber Park ...
Singapore, Singapore ericlew... Town we stayed at the place where they filmed the scenes for The Beach where Leo meets Robert Carlyle, really crumbly old building but loads of character. On my request we headed straight for the cinema to see Transformers 2, then grabbed dinner and crashed. Day 2 we headed to the Crocodile and Tiger centre, was wicked, at least over 1000 crocs there including this prehistoric looking mo-fo that must have been 15-20ft, bloody huge it was. In the evening we grabbed ...
Singapore, Singapore therobsblogs... It's just a bit too organised and the constant shopping would break me. It was good for a few days though, had a few tasty pints of Guinness in the Irish bar (kept getting prizes as I was the only person drinking it too:left with a luggage tag, 2 shot glasses, a Halloween toy, two decks of cards and a Christmas decoration – all Guinness branded), saw my only B&I lions game and stocked up on some new underwear. Sorted.

Dabei lief ...
Singapore, Singapore frechdaxxx... almost the whole time and when we were ready to go home we had to suck it up and walk home in the down pour. We were soaked to the bone by the time we got home, but all in all great fun!! We had some nice conversation and the best part was Issaac and Jake had a blast playing together. We've invited them over for dinner one night this week so I'll look forward to seeing them together again. Til next week.........
