We had booked the hotel online and we were not disappointed. The duty manager when we arrived was excellent. We upgraded to Executive and enjoyed having breakfast and evening drinks in the Exec. Lounge and easy computer access. Ideally located on the river, walking the river became a daily ritual and there is a myriad of restaurants within ten minutes. With the new MRT station going in at Fort Canning this will complement the easy access to public transport

The hotel was large and busy but in spite of this the service was great and nothing was too expensive. The roof top swimming pool was lovely. The food was good. The hotel isn't isolated and there are various bars and restaurants nearby. I would stay there again if given the chance.

Our stay was excellent, we stayed in an Executive Room which allowed us free buffet break fast in the Executive Lounge. The room was wonderful, very spacious and had a huge bathroom with a real bath.
The staff were excellent although struggled with english but that was ok. The restaurants were excellent and the food was awesome.
Highly recommend this hotel when visiting Singapore.

We stayed at The Gallery hotel last time, it was much better, there was free internet, and the room was cool. The gallery had a slightly better breakfast. On the plus side the riverview has shuttle buses to a number of the shopping areas, I don't recall seeing tha at The Galleryt. We will test Riverview's bus tomorrow.

Met the Hunts in the foyer at 10 and strolled down to the Boomerang Bar for a big breakfast. We then ambled along the river for a bit before catching a cab to the Gardens on the Bay where we explored both the Cloud Forest and Flower domes and then the Super Trees walk. The Flower Domes is the largest glass greenhouse in the world and the Cloud …

... if the motor is dying and sure enough we only go a short distance before it conks out. Now we have to call for a rescue "duck" which the guide says will take 10 minutes. 30 minutes later we are finally rescued, transferred to another duck and underway for a quick trip around the lagoon, were we do get to see the Merlion and the Marina Bay Sands Hotel up close and see part of the Gardens by the Bay as we cruise by. I found this entire tour to ...
