... day was a 9/11 memorial tour round the world trade centre site, the new buildings, battery park, wall st and the 9/11 memorial itself. Our guide was entertaining and informative. After the tour we got enthusiastic for exercise and walked across the Brooklyn bridge. The views from the bridge are really nice. After getting lost in Brooklyn we caught the subway to Madison square garden and had New York style pizza. Shopping was next before a final visit to Times ...

We will have a "Be My Guest Lunch" featuring local ingredients and delicately arranged on Simon Pearce's beautiful stem and flatware. Later, we will delve into the art and science of glassblowing before continuing to the picturesque village of Ludlow and our mountain retreat.
