... savings of not having to stay at a motel or eating out in restaurants it's not so bad. Jan has a new "scrubby-thing" on a stick that she's going to use on the windshield. It just drank a quarter of a big bottle of Dawn. Can't wait to see if it actually works because we wiped out a large percentage of the flying insects between North Carolina and here today. So far she has soap all over the ground and herself. Not sure if the windshield is deriving any benefit. Will keep you ...

I can't believe we've already finished our last full day here at Albright. It's all gone by so fast. I'm leaving TOMORROW, and it still doesn't feel totally real. Mom and I had to wake up at 9 a.m. so we could leave on time, which isn't particularly pleasant when you stayed up packing until almost 3 a.m. After a short stop at Wawa for breakfast and gas, we were off. We arrived at Albright College just before 12:00, just in time for check-in. The line moved quickly, and before I knew it we were headed up to my dorm. When we got ...

... visit with her and her daughter, Denise. She was born the same year, 1937, as my sister Pat so she is about 77. I know I met her as a kid, but really have no memory of doing so. So why was I going? Partly because of my genealogical research, and partly out of respect for family. I have never been one to keep in touch, so this was an opportunity I did't want to miss. Aunt Dolores was my mother's half-sister, another Carlson. Papa ...
