      ... shops all along the way, yay!!! When we got there we tried to buy a pizza to share, being aware of our ever expanding waistlines. However, we were told no, we had to have one each at 14 euro ($23.45 each) plus $12 for a beer( not cheap here) and 7 euro for a coke ($10). When we said no we only want one pizza we were told no, so we left. Around the corner at a little cafe we got a big slice of pizza, a beer and a coke-12 euro the lot!! So who was the ...

      ... at once, want everything immediately, then are gone. It is a kind of feeding frenzy. It is horrific when three are in dock at the same time which had been the case the day before. The ships also cruise right by St Mark's Square making it seem small and insignificant. That is utterly unacceptable to the Venetians.       ... t have a speed limit. Today is a Festa della Madonna della Salute. Which is a holiday to honour Madonna for ending the Plague in Venice in 1631. We finish the tour and the water is coming up again today. We go back to the hotel and have crosaunts and coffee and a rest. Yosh is looking for a place to stay in Venice and I organise a hotel near the Rialto bridge. So we walk there to have a look at the hotel. There is still flooding on the streets.       ... were then surprised to learn that stickers "Green 7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,& 17" we're all taking the same tour. We were Green 17. That amounts to about 500 people. So it took some time to get ashore and onto the bus. It took about 15 minutes to get to the old town. It was absolutely packed with people, many like us who had to keep track of their tour leader.       ... royals on board from Qatar – the reason being is because they are considering starting a cruise line and wanted to see how things worked … it may well be that some older ships are sold to them if they proceed. So you heard it here first folks and if it isn’t true, well it’s a good story.

      With that we put our bags out, and hit the sack after setting the alarm clock and hand washing a few items that will dry overnight.
