... palace was actually made up of the whole old city, so when you go into the gates there are all of the palace buildings (cathedral, bell tower, etc.) and then the narrow cobblestone sgreets ( which are very slippery as I found out when I was later walking around in flip flops and nearly wiped.out on several occasions.) I do however spot some water shoes to make David's ventures into the sea a little less painful on his new born baby feet...he wasn't pleased I described them like that in a previous post but that's exactly what they are. He wasn't raised on the Gold Coast where I basically didn't wear shoes until I went to high school! Needless to say he was extremely grateful I spotted them, in a ladies shoe shop no less.

... of Split to pick up our yacht. Tino was a really nice young guy who went out of his way to explain the history of Split and point out ancient ruins such as the Aqua duct along the way. He was very engaging with the boys and took a particular liking to Cameron. Tino is a lawyer but interestingly the Court system grinds to a halt in the summer months as the Judges enjoy their vacation. So he works in tourism during this time. We picked up the ...
