... the blog.

Sunday 4th Jan - Aagh, today I woke up with the head cold the boys have had, so a bit of a slow start to the day. I convinced Rob to catch the metro instead of walking and we headed up to see the Monte dei Cappuccini Church built from 1583 - 1656, it sits high up on a hill overlooking the Po river and Torino. I'm glad we didn't spend €20 going up the Mole tower yesterday, these free views were awesome. We were lucky to have a clear day giving us a ...

into Turin was nerve racking, in fact ...

Day 294 2 hrs, 3.4 kms I thought I could catch a train from Bra on east to Asti, but no... I have to backtrack a long ways and make a big looparound unfortunately. This really sets me behind and I suddenly realize that if I'm going to visit both Asti and Allessandra provinces today, I'm going to have to make this a very short visit. ...

... as to how to get there by bus. Of course, I don't travel by bus, I travel on foot. I guess I might as well go looking for it--I need to wander around Torino anyways... So off I go into the night, along a long river park where there's a rock concert going on, and groups of young people clustered together doing drugs. Then, out of the blue, a very cheery sight: a well preserved medieval castle/town all by itself. with shops serving medieval ...
