... we had this experience, and so grateful for all the amazing memories we have made. And it's good to know that Bob and I can spend two weeks together, and I'm sad about going back to work and being away from him.

So yes, I'll be using all our apps. But I'll also try to forget about them unless we really need or want them (so we don't get lost and have to walk along a highway in the dark).
It is a vacation, after all. And, as Bob and I always say to each other, "It's an adventure!"
... of shoes - hiking shoes (for Cinque Terre), walking sandals from Clarks, and a pair of flats. After thinking about it, I don't really need those flats for anything because my sandals will go with everything. So I ditched the flats.
I can always buy while I'm there.
Bob keeps reminding me that we're not leaving civilization. Anything I didn't pack that I end up really needing? I can buy.
T-Minus 1 day and 12 hours! :)
Over the weekend we started the challenging job of packing for our 3 week vacation in multiple climates. Add to that the airline restrictions and it becomes a major puzzle. To play it safe we are taking 3 checked bags. Never done that before. Fortunately the airline allows us each 2 bags so we are good to go.
We're just about done however and we are ready (and excited) to go. Tomorrow ...
