Day 8. We made quite a late start leaving the hotel at 10.30 am. We walked from the Hotel which was located next to the race course back into the old city centre about 25 minutes away by foot. ... and there was a room for us! We have (reluctantly) moved in and it appears OK. Apart from the lack of Wi-Fi and even cellular. As an aside we have struggled to get decent cellular all over UK, and I have never had 4G. Anyway, a quick glimpse of the Minster and we are ready for bed! ... followed. Back outside and on our way to the castle museum we were surprised by some heavy rain! Of course we didn't have any umbrella so we ran through the streets looking for public washrooms. Once we found them a lovely lady gave us some garbage bags to use and we continued to the hostel. After drying off we ate our leftovers, the fresh fruit and some local chocolate we had purchased ...

So, the Whole World Voyage of 2014; how was it for us and did it meet our expectations? Overall it was a great experience and, yes it did meet our expectations. We were away for four months and maybe this was fractionally long, after about 3 months we did start to think 'it would be nice if we were home now'.
