While everyone went to a water park Chris, Les and I drove over to Tossa De Mar today. It is a seaside town with an old walled city. I really enjoyed wandering around the tiny streets looking in the shops. We walked up to the top of the hill then stopped at a restaurant on the way down for lunch. I had duck with a berry sauce then a rice pudding with cinnamon ice cream, yum. Got home at about 5 pm and just taking it easy ...

Yesterday we packed up and went to Girona. We walked around the old town, browsing in the shops and walked up to the cathedral. Chris, Les, Sarah and Jacob went inside while the rest of us waited and had a drink. Sadly, Tony's cancer got worse in the early hours of yesterday morning. He was rushed off to Girona hospital, it's not looking good. Wow, we just had a call, Tony has revived! I do wonder if Doctors really know what they are ...

Today we woke up early because we are going to Spain, Girona. From where we live in Pouzolles, France, it is 1hr and 30mins to Girona. When we arrived in Girona we were all quite thirsty so we found a cool little cafe called Martina. Olli and I had a cocoalait and Mum and Dad had espresso.

We carried on to the Jewish Quarter and stopped in at the Tourist Information Centre to get a map. We headed to a cool cafe we had heard ...

It was cloudy today, but in true British style we still went to the beach. I loved it, no worries about sunburn but still lovely and warm. There is a nice restaurant on the beach where we had lunch then we wandered across to a bar right on the beach, sat in lounge chairs and watched the waves roll in. We hired two paddle boats and 12 went out on them swimming and using the water ...

Having arrived here on Saturday, we felt it was high time we did some sightseeing. We ventured out yesterday afternoon in search of groceries and fuel but only managed the latter as supermarkets were closed. The date was not listed in our campsites of Spain handbook as being a public holiday. I did wonder if it was connected with the day before (Sunday) being elections, but never got to the bottom of it. Needless to say we didn't starve. This morning we drove along ...
