... I finally got all 3 tickets, went back to retrieve my sandwich, and had to wait in line behind people who knew what they were doing. FINALLY I got my sandwich, and went outside to eat with John and Meghan. They had watched the whole thing and thought it was pretty funny, but I was pretty peeved. As we ate on the steps of the duomo I cooled off, and we headed off again. We went to the theater, but it cost money to get inside, so ...
Milan, Lombardy, Italy alliemarie... when a NZ passenger (friendly middle-aged couple) said to be careful cause he may just kick me off the train at the next station!! So I payed up...should’ve read the fine-print, but my travel agent should’ve explained this all to me. I’m not at all impressed with her (from Escape Travel) and would definitely not recommend. So yeah, welcome to Italy - get fined 50 bucks!
Anyways, the train trip had picturesque ...
... Nothing much else to do. Milan isn't that good. I also had some Italian icecream that Daniel told me to buy. It was yummy, I tried the fruit and rasberry but I will always be a fan of chocolate. I also had a massive slice of pizza, although it was more bread than anything else. There was also a market open in front of the castle and I saw the most massive cheese, the smaller one was 18kg!
Well, after all that moaning and groaning about Ryan Air, the experience was just fine. Probably because I slept for most of the way! At one point I woke up because of the turbulence and thought, "argh, these rickety Ryan Air planes." Well, take a look at my photo to see just why there was a bit of turbulence. So awesome.
I landed in Bergamo and dropped my bags at security. I braved another intense downpour. Major enough to actually make me pull out my bright red rain coat ...
Hi Everyone!
Our last day in Milan was bittersweet. It had been a fabulous week…but exhausting. We had two appointments before we headed back to Florence. We first went to Touch Neozone and then Cloud 9. Both are trade shows. Both were very interesting. Again ...
... It was very - cute. It was a nice place, though, so we overlooked the pink sheets. We ran to a supermarket to stock up on enough booze to last us for our two day stay, because I didn't think any would be available on Sunday. As we stood inline with our beer, vodka, orange juice, Pringles, water, and Kinder candy bar, I asked Mike how much he thought our total would be. He foolishly replied 15 euros. I said it would be 20. When the clerk totaled our ...

Milan, Italy dzarrenBefore my imminent return to real life, back in Australia, I was intent on having one last escapade, taking advantage of London's proximity to the wonders of Europe. So, on the advice of my roomy to be, 'you can't go to Europe and not see Italy' I headed straight for Milan. My choice of Italy had absolutely nothing to do with any primal desires to acquire several more pairs of shoes. Upon arriving at my Mecca I attempted to meet up with some fellow fashionista friends (I have been ...
Milan, Florence and Venice, Italy jessoosh... markets. We were right down the street from the best little coffee and pastry shop in the world (not kidding) which was also right next to a gelato shop. We drank the best cappuccinos every morning and I had gelato for breakfast! Not the healthiest, but I loved it. Pisa was a nice little city. The tower was disorienting to look at. It was different to see such a travesty of architecture after seeing all of these genious works of architecture! Kind of ...
Milan, Italy coolkids... we got totally turned around because it's hard to tell which direction you'll exit the metro in. While we were getting our bearings, a college-aged guy asked if we needed directions, and proceeded to walk us back in the right direction, slowly, while giving a tour of the sights of Milan. We did not want a tour of the sights of Milan, nor did we really want his assistance, coming on the heels of the gold-toothed girl as it did. But this boy really ...
