We rented a car for a day and went for a beautiful drive. Scary at times because it was so narrow and you would accross a bus.... I closed my eyes for that part! The food was delicious and the people super nice.
Had a great time!
This summer I went to the Canary Islands with my friends. We did a lot of things there; we went to the swimming pool, partying, to the dune beach, and to the aqua park party...
Also, one day we went to one beach where there were a lot of water sports and we practised the motorskying, parasailing and a los of things.
Finally we come back to Spain with hangovers and our bodies very pained becouse we fell many ...
... the week we attended a number of events including a “masked ball” which was great fun.
The atmosphere here is one of excitement and anticipation. We can’t wait to get started!
Our start is midday Tuesday and so we will probably be sending our next blog later on Tuesday or during Wednesday.

After recovering from a serious number of pre-race parties, I decided to attend some of the many arc seminars covering provisioning, routing and weather, rigging - apparently chaffing is the enemy, and a fantastic seminar by norwegian born Jimmy Cornell - who started the ARC some 25 years ago! Did you know we have to carry a minimum number of 3.5 litres of drinking water per person per day plus emergency water ...estimating 500 litres of water needed just in case the ...
... Once there, we can shower, dress and eat without having to perform acrobatic stunts, to stop us sliding rapidly into the walls! Getting ready for watch is the worst part of the day by far, beating a hasty exit to the deck to cool down?
Still, all the crew remain cheerful and the flow of ridiculous jokes and games continue. Tomorrow is approaching with all the delights of showers, level tables and ice cold BEER!
