... from one of our previous wifi stops at
McDonalds (we buy the cheapest items on the menu just so we don't
feel guilty!), it looked nice enough and was situated around a small
lake, plus it was the cheapest we could find!
between Wolfsburg and Kellerwiehl was pretty dull, the only highlight
being the low flying eagle up above... there didn't seem to be much
around at all, including the town / ...
... for the Captain's Farewell reception and dinner. We started with champagne and canapes whilst the whole crew came in to say goodbye. Amazed to find there were only four room stewardesses, yet all our rooms were cleaned and tidied while we had breakfast. Dinner was then served - five courses. First course was salmon caviar and crisp potato cake or red oak leaf lettuce and caramelized pear salad, followed by the soup ...

It Was a good opportunity for Julien to practice his German, me too of course haha and our friends were also excited to practice their English on us too. I think we were possibly some of the only English tourists at the festival. It consisted mostly of German and Dutch.
Think I have heard enough of riders of the storm for a little while, But definitely want to come again next year. Above all ...

Early afternoon, we went back home only to turn around to head over to Potsdam where we met with more relatives to take a two-hour boat ride on the Templiner Lake. It was a very relaxing and scenic boat ride. We even met a famous German movie star on the boat, but nobody could remember his name!

I really like this mural of Holly Golightly on the kitchen door. Apparently it's called a wall tattoo... don't be surprised if Audrey Hepburn turns up on one of my doors at home.
