... and "extras" that never made it into the pre-fab concrete blocks which also make an appearance in these areas. There were some savings, such as the foyer area where the "wood paneling" actually turns out to be just plaster with wood painted on - thing is that it's been done so well that you can't tell without knocking on the wall!
Went back to Carolin's flat after finally catching the bells in the castle plaza on the hour, for another ...
Hey my dear friends, after my placement in Munich, I went to my parents' house to enjoy my free time and to get some rest. I have been here 2 weeks already and its definitely time to move on. I will go back to Breda, Holland by bus tomorrow. It will take me about 14 h !! so wish me lots of fun ...
Hohenstein-Ernstthal, Saxony, Germany magicwoman82... in now and there is a blanket of grey cotton wool all about. There seems to be a lot of industry at the side of the railway track - large square buildings with brick chimneys; the Arriva trains building with two carriages set into the top of it; a brewery earlier in the day near Munich. There are blocks of flats that are the typical concrete type that look like a big cube, ten storeys or so high, that you see in cities everywhere in Europe ...
glauchau, Germany jeremyhill... people we met in 2002, yet another great family intent of killing us with food and drink, especially this green schnapps that Manfred (the father) drank. It's like Jägermeister but even more medicinal, in one sitting we drank a whole bottle together, that'll teach me for allowing my shot glass to hit the table to be re-filled. Got to hear some stories about the days under Soviet rule, the most facsinating was when the two Germanies became one and how people were ...
Gelenau, Saxony, Germany ashlmc... I decided not to ask any more questions and just get in the car. We arrived in the city about 20 minutes later and we unloaded the car. We hung out for a bit and went out for a bite to eat. We went to the Brewery for good traditional German food. I had a Pork Cutlet stuffed with Ham and wrapped in bacon, I didn't realize it but that is a hell of a lot of PIG. After dinner we went to this club where 15 of Hilly's friends were glad to see her and ...
Zwickau, Saxony, Germany mike81In my white lab coat.............. It was really interesting to examine and take apart people and learn about the functions of the human body. I didn't care for the smell too much, it started to get too much after 30 minutes, but it was a cool experience.
Freiberg, Germany johanna85... night except for the time I walked in on him naked! Then took a boat trip down the Rhine for two days, staying in St Goar overnight. It was really beautiful, got some great photos. Last night was in Heidelberg, then today in Freiburg. Caught the cable car up to a mountain somewhere in the Black Forest, then walked down. Good to do some exercise and burn off all the beer and ice cream! Haven't found a computer I can upload photos on yet but I'm working on it!
Freiberg, Saxony, Germany susb... unale läksime Freibergi linnas asuvasse Döner Kebabi. Seal sõime Saksamaa türklaste valmistatud maitsvat kebabi. Pärastlõunal alustasime sõitu Hermsdorf'i marmorikaevanduse poole, mis kuulub firmale GEOMIN.
Freiberg, Saxony, Germany veikokWe went through Germany to see where Bryan used to live and to visit one of his favorite breweries. We had dinner at the Gasthaus - traditional schnitzel and spetzel. Great beer and wonderful hospitality. Bryan had to get a rack of beer to take back with us, of course.
