Mobschatzer Strasse 29 Dresden, Saxony, Germany, 01157, 351-42810
... a little tour of Dresden too which was really nice! There are some pretty impressive old building. Well technically they are old but were almost destroyed in the war. They have only been rebuilt in the last 5 to 10 years which is amazing! Had a wicked Turkish vegie plate then said our goodbyes and got on the train back to Berlin. Back to public transport for us!
Dresden, Saxony, Germany emmasadventuresThe Rebuilt City – Dresden

Dresden was pretty much wiped out in World War 2. It has since been rebuilt but the fires that burnt the city down remain and a lot of the old statues and buildings are stained black. I have been sick as a dog and nearly tainted the city with a bit of chunder!

So I don't have much to say ...
Dresden, Saxony, Germany bharden... You could imagine my disgust and outrage when they informed me that they do not sell VB any longer, only Queensland **** XXXX, and fosters. I demanded that they take VB off the menu so normal people such as myself will no longer get excited at the prospect of downing a nice cold Vitamin B. With that drama over, I moseyed on down to a plaza, where beers were being sold for about $6. Now my father taught me well, to be a tight ass. Looking for a cheap beer in a ...
Dresden, Saxony, Germany danielmataylor... devised a plan to attack Dresden a few days after the conference of Yalta in which Stalin, Churchill, and Roosevelt had worked to figure out what to do when/if they won the war. Churchill and Roosevelt were both concerned that Stalin seemed very vocal in expressing that he wanted to have a "Red" Europe, stopping just short of England turning communist. So for whatever reason: showing Stalin he could be next, getting even for Germany bombing Coventry, England ...
Dresden, Saxony, Germany carpefeline... we got there, we decided to accompany Brennan to the roof top bar for his free drink and to have some relaxing drinks ourselves. We stayed up at the roof top bar, watched soccer, and talked for a while. Then we went back to our room and hit the sack.

The next morning, we woke up and said goodbye to Brennan (he was going to Frankfurt but said he might come to see us for Katy's birthday in Regensburg) and went out for our last few hours in Dresden. We headed straight ...
Dresden, Saxony, Germany ab10... to Neustadt for tea in search of an allusive sausage, but to not avail - being a Monday night there was little open so a Doner Kebab it was. This is a great meal if you're on a budget like students are, and my favourite part about it was the free apple tea that came with it.

Finally we finished up by wandering throughout a couple of the streets looking at some of the street art before settling on the Tiki Bar for a Swedish Shake before heading home to Carolin's flat for the night.
Dresden, Saxony, Germany b3ennyk... mean while i was bagging like a mad man. you really gota think ahead here. our first experience shopping at The bakeries paul took us on the best part of the trip. The bakeries. the bakeries are unlike anything i have experienced in canada. mostly cause we don't really go to bakeries back home, they specialize in these amazing tasty baked goods. people dont really hang out there like a coffee shops. you have to pay and extra 20 cents to sit at the tables. But the amazing thing ...
Dresden, Germany johnrathnamDresden once again to relax - flew into Berlin Schönefeld from Paris Orly - I was so desperate it was hard letting Mike go - it is probably the best for me not even have time to think about that and just go right into the next vacation - to Israel to see a good friend over there... Israel is not the safest country ...
Dresden, Germany jess84... that if you don't rent sheets, you get fined 15EUR. So we ignored it. So we meet the people in our 17 bed dorm - the biggest I've ev** been in. We had the normal mix of people that you tend to find in any hostel: the annoying n**dy dude, the pair of girls not int**ested in talking to anyone but eachoth**, the couple and some random dude from East**n Europe. So anyway we went out for the night and the first place we went to I was so shocked about how much ev ...
Dresden, Germany amullett... big Elbe River with a paved pathway for runners, skateboarders, kids with scooters, and of course, cyclists! This path couldn't be more exquisite; old castles with vineyards and newer homes dot the hillside, the river is fast moving and rowers are working hard in the afternoon. Biergartens and restaurants are right on the path as well. Are we getting into riding our bikes! We found used bikes in Berlin, right before arriving here in Heidenau and have put them to good use ...
