... hope that the weight could be spread more evenly. In fact the rope held the entire day which was relieving!

From one misfortune to another; just as we arrived at the first possible ferry crossing Oskar fell again, this time onto the left knee. Luckily he got out again with just a graze. We arrived at this crossing point at 11am and soon found out the ferry wasn't until 12pm so we decided to just keep cycling on to Cranz to catch a ferry there. When we arrived ...

Home on the strassesbahn and an evening drinking Santorini white ...

A lazy morning. Had breakfast with Horst, did some washing and trip planning. It is a rainy day and only 17 degrees. We walked the 3km to Horst's Office then off to lunch at La Bottega Italiana. Spoke with the owner Rudolfo about the photos on his wall. The favourite of Ron's is an Italian actress, Liana Orfei, who was a famous dominatrix and known for starring in Hercules movies and being a circus tiger tamer in the movies. After lunch we walked around ...

... be served in a bun and called ‘Hamburgers’ after their place of origin. It is not known who in America served the first hamburger. With this piece of information, we decide we MUST have a hamburger in Hamburg before we leave. It is a bit of a wild goose chase, as the place the book recommends is only serving barbecue, but eventually we find ‘Burgerlich’ a trendy burger bar where customers order everything themselves using tablets that pop out of the table. Job ...
