Also, 1 Jahr Südamerika wartet auf mich ...
... stuff for diner. We stop in a big hardware store to find out if anyone knows where a campground is. The first person Len talks to speaks really good English. He asked Len where he was from and Len said Winnipeg. He tells Len he has been to Lake Winnipeg and across to Alberta. Wow, what a surprise. We find that about 8 kms from here there is a campground. I struggle with a woman telling me the directions, in German. I think I ...
Hannoversch Münden, Lower Saxony, Germany dancejill... beer and wine, beautiful architecture, kind people (except for the old hag waitress in Munich) and of course history!! Is there a job where I can travel wherever I want and get paid for it? Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed it!
Paderborn, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany kmwest422Although the weather was cold and rainy again, Claudia and I decided to walk around the center of Paderborn and do some shopping. I got a more complete tour of the city in the daytime - we went inside of the Cathedral and as usual it had amazing architecture. We walked down through the church and out the other side - more rain though so out came the umbrella once again. We walked through the city and ...
Paderborn, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany kmwest422... t too exciting, but it was nice to be doing normal day-to-day things with Claudia - pushing the shopping cart around, picking out what you want for dinner. Much better than online chatting . . .
Claudia made some goulash with pasta for dinner (YUM!) and I started to organize my things for the trip back. We realized that two weeks had gone by far too quickly. Tomorrow will be a day in Paderborn!!
... famous in pagan circles. It is has five sandstone pillars that rise out of the earth in an area which is has very few rocks. You are able to climb up a couple of the taller pillars as well. It was supposedly a site for the Teutonic peoples in the Middle Ages, and it really does stick out of nowhere - the view is impressive from the top. Unfortunately the ...
Barntrup, Germany kmwest422... ticket...hehe). It was a fairly decent train ride, we had some entertainement (some people were going from one train car to the next playing the accordion and violin!! Quite entertaining!!) and even met another Canadian who was staying in Bielefeld to study!! What are the odds!! Once we got to Köln, it was pouring with rain so we toughed it out and walked around with my umbrella (which wouldn't stop going inside out)! After doing a bit of shopping and ...
Paderborn, Germany natfatica... this stupid slot or else I had to book it in with the rest of the cargo (HELL NO!! especially not with my laptop!!) They were very severe in what you were allowed to bring on the plane due to all the events that happened over a month ago. You weren't allowed to bring on any makeup, liquids of any sort, toothpaste,etc...and the line ups to go through security...don't even get me started!! haha At least the Duty Free was good, I got something to eat and bought myself a nice necklace ...
Paderborn, Germany natfatica... only become an admired monument of tradition, but also the main church of Paderborn and Paderborn citizens, who as respectfully and devoutly enter their church to worship God as people did a thousand years ago. A lot of the church was destroyed in 1945; however, some notable items remain: the main entrance "Paradies-portal" which is the largest and most magnificent in Westphalia. Its origins date back to the first third of the thirteenth century. An older portion of the ...
