We went straight to the open air market which they have everyday except Sunday. They had great local produce and some interesting crafts for sale. We toured the cathedral next, which was very impressive. ...

    the Swiss had no compassion?

It was an hour and a quarter
train ride to Basel and we arrived safely and went to the ticket office to
validate our pass. We were never tempted
do avoid this and get an extra ride – others could have easily been
tempted. It was about a 750 metres stroll
to our apartment, thank goodness for Google Maps and locals. Very clean ...
