... overlooks the modern city and hectic traffic. At the top and on ledges are some fine looking Turkish houses all nicely painted. As we walked the rough cobbled streets of the old town we saw that nearly all the houses are Turkish style with terra cotta tile roofs and painted in pastel colours often with fine decoration. Day 9-12 Romanian Bush Camping and Bucharest

After a dull star, 10 of us found a great little gem of a pizzeria hidden and stopped for lunch and a much needed drink. After lunch half the group headed back after a difficult search for this palace. Considering it is the second largest building (by volume) in the world, we couldn't bloody see it! But Max, Finton, Lauren and myself persisted and finally found the palace.

Bucharest on the Run
... finished. My guide said the locals call it the Monster Building. I figured because it was so big but he says it was because so many people disappeared into it never to come out again, or at least not alive.
He asked if I’d like to tour the Parliament Palace. Apparently you must have reservations during the tourist season, sort of like the White House. Very hard to get into it without advance notice. ...
