700kms and a few thousand hairpin bends later we completed the Mae Hong Son loop! Following the same road throughout from Pai we rode through the mountains to a town called Mae Hon Song and continued to Mae Sariang the following day. After spending the night we completed the loop by returning to Chiang Mai. ... pretty, but a bit of a let down as there was no where to swim so we carried on to the canyon to watch the sun set. On the way we stopped and asked a Chinese couple for directions, it turned out they were also headed to the canyon so we followed them. Watching the sun set was lovely and well worth the drive but the best part was the hilarious couple we'd befriended. I always call Anna 'Taylor' because she really does look like Taylor Swift ...
