    ... and a little frustrating for him when we couldn't understand or we couldn't understand him. But kudos to him for trying so hard! Before going out, Chloe and I had asked the lady at reception where we were supposed to be for our half day tour the next day. She said she would let us know and write a note by our bed.     I wandered around hoping to stumble across something different down a quiet side road and there really isn't. I specifically booked this hotel because it was away from the main Khao San Road (where all the Brits seem to go to get wasted), but it’s just expanded to here.

    The road to the Island is a concrete jungle and the bridges a work of art, set against the backdrop of a futuristic skyline with massive skyscrapers and apartment blocks fighting for space. What a contrast to New Zealand with its wide open spaces and the wild rugged views.

    Hong Kong is a very neat city. There's a lot of buildings and they are very big.

    We took a ferry ride, saw a cool light show, and saw a lot of shops.
