... We then proceeded down the mountain, much easier than going up and a lot less scary...Making our way back in to Lucerne, we popped into Pickwick pub one of Beaver's old haunts. Behind the bar was José who remembered Beaver but also Foxy! Unbelievable, especially after 13 years! He even asked where he was, so we told him he was now in Australia and much happier. ... quickly made our exit. Lucerne is pretty touristy and it's quite small so you can imagine the streets are just lined with watches, chocolate and Swiss army knives. That is honestly it. The small village was very clean however and we got the feeling very safe. A lot of the bikes parked up along the road and trees didn't have locks.

We spied a Guinness sign so popped our head in there so see whether he was playing the All Blacks the next day. Ended up having a chat ...
