... punctuated by an ice cold beer... until saturday...
So this weekend was a national holiday in Brazil.. and it seems the whole city of Natal descended on Genipabu by bus.. a bit like going to Brighton for the day. This quiet place transformed during the day into a bustling hotspot.. with visitors arriving at 7am, plonking themselves on the beach and ordering their first beer.. crazy. So our guesthouse wheeled out enormous speakers and started pumping out dodgy Brazilian ...
... hand signals and with bits of spanish thrown in for good measure!! Everyone very friendly !
We are having an amazing time... ...........Brazil Rocks!!
Tomorrow we are moving on to Genipabu which is another beachy place just north of Natal as we are on a quest for the ultimate beach to chill out and take stock before getting on the serious backpacker trail!!!!

... a mid-evil pub. There were also about 10 bars in one complex right down the street. The funny thing about that place was that all the women in the place were hookers. All of them!! I sat in there for 3 nights, smoked a cigar, drank a coke, and went to bed. I did not get approached by any hookers. I guess that is a good thing but a blow to the ego. :o))
During the day, I hung out at the beach with some people from the hostel and went on long walks. It was a ...

Liebe Gruesse, Silke
Natal, Brazil renard... and lives in Tibau. What the hell is up with Tibau, it´s like hottie heaven. Anyways, I tell her I met a few girls from Tibau and she goes to me - "your shawn, you like Flavia". What, how do you know this? She says that she´s good friends with Flavia and they just had a conversation about me that day. Interesting. Apparently Flavia summised from my flirting with her for about 8 hours that I was interested in her, smart girl. I get good news ...
Pipa, Brazil merkdog4... to make the best of things and I strike up a conversation with this younger dude who has a kitesurfing shirt on. Kitesurfing looks absolutely awesome and I would love to learn how to do it (athough when I was in Barbados the big story going around the island was that some dude went kitesurfing, got swept out into the ocean because of strong winds and was never seen again, who knows if that was true or not). This conversation actually ends up taking place ...
Natal, Brazil merkdog4... safari with a couple from Uraguay who served as our interpreters. The driver asked if we wanted a ride emocoa (with emotion) and naturally we said yes. We were treated to going up and down these sand dunes, skidding round them etc. Sitting on the back (on the exposed ledge above the exhaust) you really feel the bumps, and the ascents and descents are a bit scarier! There`s a mapped out route the drivers take, stopping at ...
Natal, Brazil amitandsona... had come out of the water about 2 metres in front of me. I wasnt wearing my glasses, but nonetheless I dont think that it can fairly be put down to my own failures that I missed that can it...? I just read the entry that I made for Pipa before when I put the footage of Carlos doing fire on here - it makes it sound like I hated Pipa, which wasnt my intention at all as it was probably my favourite place in Brazil so far. It is, like Morro São Paulo, extremely touristy ...
