Lori:

Our final day in Brazil began with an early cup of coffee with Marco, followed by him driving us to the airport to catch our 9 am flight through São Paulo, and eventually to Asuncion, Paraguay. Our eleven hour layover in São Paulo begged us to explore the largest city not only in Brazil, but the largest city proper in the southern hemisphere. It went down quickly and gave me the energy for a little more exploring but it was quick and I was glad to crawl into bed.

... tourist info counter ('Paraty Bus????' - 'Reunidas' *point*) and headed to the desk. Reunidas did four trips per day to Paraty. Normally there isn't any trouble getting a ticket but seeing as it was carnival they were all booked out! Not just tomorrows buses but the next day too! When Diego gave us his phone number he told us he could arrange something for us if we couldn't get a bus so we decided we'd text him when we got back to our accommodation. For now though we were hungry so ...
