They also had mini "shots" of honey and dulce du leche. Man do South American people like their dulce du leche. Half an hour later we crested over a hill and got our first view of the Costa Verde. ... this. And they’re pretty funny. I guess it’s better to laugh like a madman than weep uncontrollably? So at least in our defeat some of us are keeping up a good humor. Or cynicism. Whatever. Other bright side? Germany was gracious. They were humble (all things considered), and they were respectful in the end. Sorry that this entry is so late in coming. It's been an even busier week than usual, and my internet has been spotty.
