    ... of people, mostly brazilians but a few gringos. On the subway there I was speaking in English to two of the Brazilians and a canadian guy next to us spoke to us. He had lived in Aberdeen for a while working for an oil service company and had come to SP for the world cup, he said that he was surprised to hear a Scottish accent in Brazil!
    Crashed on a sofa bed at one of the guys flat, which was very kind of him!

    ... very out of place and felt a bit intimidated. After passing many cafes that all seem to specialise in selling deep fried snacks (that can be found in abundance in Brazil), we came across a nice but expensive restaurant so ate there for convenience and retired to bed.
