To leave the hotel costs you $100 minimum in a taxi, even if it's 15 minutes down the road, then you add on the tour price and tips and it comes very costly. Also, after 6 full-on weeks where we were doing something everyday, it is nice to sit around doing nothing for a change. A whole heap of Pommies turned up today and have spent all day at the swim up beer drinking. No hats, ...

Woke up Friday to another glorious day. I think we've only had 1 or 2 rainy days all trip. Over indulged at breakfast and lunch, will have to start eating smaller meals. Fletch and I took a snorkelling trip out to the reef. It was ok and we saw some tropical fish but it was nowhere near as good as Vanuatu. ... there just in time, don't like these close calls, not good for the stress levels. From Miami we flew to Montego Bay which was only an hour and a half flight. Got to our hotel, and it's fantastic. It's got a nice big pool right next to the beach, a lazy river and a couple of water slides. We've got the all-inclusive package so you can eat and drink as much as you want. Spent the afternoon floating around the pool drinking Piña Coladas and Red Stripe beer ...

... Which worked out because Air Canada Rouge has no t.v. on seatbacks.
Arriving in Montego Bay we were directed to a certain line and met J; tour guide for our fam trip who worked for the Jamaican tourist board.
Three or more days into the trip I thought back to the airport. Was that the same guy? I couldn't even recall for sure, I was so tired.

... else one might fancy - at least a simple smile and no thanks and Not stopping seem to fend these folks off without too much energy. Here, everything is in slo motion. Love this speed. Even the traffic is slow, especially when compared to Anywhere Asia. Food is great, local supermarkets offer the cheapest beer, water and mix. You get approached many times a day/night while walking on the streets. Everybody has a deal for you! No different here than anywhere else...LOVE IT!!!
