I'm pretty sure it isn't anything in the drinking water, because I never see anyone drinking water in Jamaica. More likely in one of the 2 pools, 4 hot tubs, or quite likely in that soothing Caribbean sea water that we're all so fond of. I used to be a pool junky , but since I started diving you can't get me out of the ocean.

Maybe they'll let me run for president. With another little side trip from Miami to the Bahamas, I'd then have the Caribbean zipped up, all thirteen countries.

So I'm already planning two or three trips ahead while sitting in Montego Bay, probably not the ...

Whatever it is, it's wicked, splitting me apart, twisting my view of the world to its own diseased perspective "as all seems yellow to the jaundiced eye." But I've already had HepA, so I should be knock-ulated for life. No matter, the important thing now is to stay warm, drink lots of ...

Thank God for the Chinese or there wouldn't be anything in the stores to eat, as the take's probably too low for a self-respecting Brit. They run the banks. Put a dozen of the same thing in a box and offer a discount and voila!, wholesale was invented. Take them back out and stack them on a shelf and you've got a grocery store. Take that away and ...

We were supposed to go to Puerto Limon, Costa Rica on the 24th but as we approached, the authorities closed the harbor due to severe weather and mudslides so we left the area. Later that day Capt. Thor told us that we were headed to Montego Bay. I'd been there before in the 1980s and swore I'd never go back (at that time there was a Marxist Michael Manley in charge and the US was not looked on with favor). Anyway we had to go back and once there, again I swore I'd never go back ...

... this is why we were not leaving at 2....as the staff needed minimum hotel time before flying again. - They had not been fueled as the Jamaican staff needed a Thomas Cook signature - not accepting the Monarch signature instead. The pilot left the plane and pulled a fuelling machine from another plane as they were in danger of going over their hours and having to wait another 10 hours here! We set off and had a few more problems! - The A300 could not make ...

... KRISTI KELLER! It was actually surreal because without knowing, I really did toss my drink and run! I got to that stage so fast I don't know what hit me and the two promoters hugged me while laughing their heads off! The only thing they needed me to do before they could declare me a winner is see my identification which I pulled out right there! I was shaking so bad it was pathetic....and the rest is history. After I filled out and signed the winners ...

'Jamaican' me feel like travelling again....

Sorry for the dreadful pun incorporated into the title of this section, but a trip to the Caribbean in January 2006 replaced the regular annual January ski fixture, and was yet another encounter with the American tourist, which was to be the last, for absolutely no reason other than ongoing commitments and diminished practicalities. I arrived on the island of Jamaica in poor shape due to a newly-broken collar bone, which I was ...
