Abends kam ich in Shimonoseki an, wo ich abends in einem schnuckeligen Hotel eincheckte.

Ich lief bummelte abends ein wenig durch die Straßen und durch den Hafen, futterte ein bisschen lokales Barbecue mit einen Gläschen Sake und besichtige einen kleinen Schrein.

Um einzuschlafen schaute ich mir eine der berühmt-berüchtigt dämlichen japanischen Reality-Shows an und schlief relativ früh ein.

Am nächsten morgen ging es dann zum 'International ...

As though that wasn't strange enough after that we were walking to the Logan Stadium at about 7:30 and this woman shouts out at us from the other side of the sidewalk, telling us some thing like: "give us any change" or some ****. So we replieded to her, has every body in this town gone wholly unzipped? Slap me stupid! Can't a fellow go for a stroll without the entire city driving you flipped out? ...

... train line. So instead I jumped on the bus. The onsen was indoors - it was basically two baths. One for each sex. I didn't know the sort of process that I should follow, so I just copied the other blokes in there. I sat down on a stool - totally naked - next to an old chap, and with a shower head and soap washed head to toe. Then I joined half a dozen other naked blokes (I can see Jonny booking his flight in between hands now) in a big hot tub which had a constant supply of water ...

Izumo / Iwami / Nima / Shimonoseki

From Matsue to Shimonoseki we stopped in Izumo to have a look at the most likely oldest Temple in Japan and yes the whole complex was very impressive. A nice touch was that there were 2 weddings on that day where both bride and groom were dressed traditionally and we tried to take a few sneaky pictures.

Then we went to Iwami, which is a world heritage site and had a look at the old silvermining town ...

... For me, communication wasn't a big problem as i have
learned japanese language for the past two years.. was really a big
help.. since many can't speak english.. Met many brothers sisters.. I
was warmly welcome by them.. It was very heartwarming.. Loving
brotherhood!!! After the meeting and some fine association, mom and dad
along with koichi took me to a very interesting place. Something that
wasnt in my imagination at ...
