This morning the four of us drove to Richmond and the waterfront to have lunch and to buy some salmon fresh off the fishing boats. When we arrived, we noticed that several traffic lights were not working, but just thought it was something minor, but when we got to the dock where the fishing boats were tied up, we learned that the power was off for the area near the docks which meant that all the restaurants were closed and could not open until the power was restored. ...

The views from the different lookouts on our hike were huge. Great view of Mt Garabaldi which is probably Canada's best known volcano and part of the active Cascades Range. It is well over 220,000 years old and last erupted 8,000 years ago and is still considered potentially active.
