The first 24 hours of our vacation has been all about traveling to our first destination in Lyon, France. As typically usual, the commute from Bowen Island to the airport by bus, ferry, bus and train was easy and efficient. Once at Vancouver International Airport, priority checked baggage, Fast Track through security and a relaxing lunch at the Air Canada Executive lounge made for an effortless start to our trip. Even the benefit of priority boarding ensured we claim prime ...

... out where Christ Church Cathedral was and I wanted to go to their
evening service of Compline. So I washed and changed and set off for the 9:30
pm service. It was a 15 minute walk through the rain but worth it. It was tiny,

of “smells and bells" and some wonderful Gregorian chant from the choir.

Home an hour later feeling rested after a full day.

There was a professional category and an amateur ...

... the boat. Our cabin is humongous. We settled and then went for lunch at a buffet. We came back as Mohnish and I were our parents servants whole they had champagne. We looked around and then went to dinner. After I went to the kids club which was a fun, then finally back to our cabin. In our cabin there was a towel ...

... to venture back into McDonalds yet again, no matter how much Chelle likes their McMuffins, so we needed to find an alternative. The ideal solution presented itself on the form of Granville Island, a small area (not actually an island - lets call it a promontory!) that sticks out into the Fraser River just south of downtown Vancouver and is the site of a thriving, bustling market. For those that have been to Melbourne, think of Queen ...
